Went to Melrose to hit up Supreme for their Bad Brains x Supreme collabo, unfortunately all they had were the Vans collabo. i was pretty much sad, i wanted to come home with that Bad Brains collabo t-shirt, OH FUCKING WELL ! im still happy, came up with 2 more pairs of vans. Huey came up with an L-Lens nigga made it rain pretty much, $1,300 stacked! holla at us though nigga !!!!
Supreme X Bad Brains Sk8-High
Bad Brains came up in the 80's D.C. hardcore scene along with bands such as Black Flag and Minor Threat. Their last album released mid last year. Supreme worked with them on a Vans Sk8 Hi in three colorways. Too bad i was too cool for the yellow pair, i mean i DO collet collabo sets only but i mean cmon, i dont think ill be rocking banana shoes on my feet! These sneakers feature quite appealing designs, from the back with its crazy embroidery, its buttery suede material. Me personally like the insole design and the tongue. Oh and it states P.M.A. on the side panel, look closely, indeed an amazing shoe! had to cop two out of three, but no regrets !
Hosoi Sk8-High II
There is a list somewhere on which is inscribed the 10 most stylish and influential skateboarders of all time, and on that list is the name Christian Hosoi. From the Tempe contest in '86 to the Beastie Boys' "Pass the Mic" video to dozens upon dozens of skate mag covers, Christian was the most famously progressive skateboarder in the world for much of the '80s. I personally like the OG version of this pair. well this isnt as bad. It has the same concept, Japan flag design on the back and side panel, Crazy embroidery on the back as well, this shoe is simple, yet mind-blowing. it is suede-materialed as well. I guess Vans doing it big son!
Forest Green Syndicate Half Cab
ahhhh, the Half Cabs line, as you can see from its intriquete design, it has suede all over, croc print on back and side pannels, something i would rock on the daily. This shoe is comfy and not too flashy. Vans' Syndicate line has been a hit this past year, Bulletproof's as the white, grey, and black set has been a hit to all sneakerheads world wide ! I myself have the grey and white pair and still on the hunt for my black pair, whoever has an extra 10-10.5 HOOK IT UP !
Kicks/HI Chukka Boot
The Vans "3 Feet High: KICKS/HI" Chukka is definitely the most colorful shoe of the bunch with lime green, grass green and shop orange. It also utilizes the most materials with a perforated leather toe, suede side panels, faux croc heel, and leather lining. My long lost love, ive been looking for these fuckers for so long and finally ive gotten them for CHEAP! an amazing sneaker indeed, it will for sure break some necks on the streets thats for sure, threw in some Supreme Lacelocks to add up some flavor to it! enjoy
Supreme X Neighborhood Chukka Boot
Another collaboration between Neighborhood (Japanese label) and Supreme resulted in the Vans Supreme x Neighborhood - Troops of Tomorrow - Sk8-Hi & Chukka. Here?s a list of what?s included in the collection; M-65 jacket, Stadium jacket, Denim, Hoodys, New Era caps, and tees. The Vans Sk8-Hi and Vans Chukka bear the slogan Troops of Tomorrow and a newly designed Supreme and Neighborhood logo. The collection will drop on December 28th at Supreme New York and Los Angeles. Im still waiting to break these babies out! It was sure a worth camp out haha. Good times with the boys!
Proper x Vans Sk8-High
A fresh new collaboration between Long Beach, California sneaker shop Proper and Vans has been spotted. Three Sk8-Highs have been created by Vans with Proper as the inspiration. The Proper logo can be seen on the tag, on the tongue and printed all over in the inside of the shoe. As you can see its satin all over, and small details on each panels. I yet have to say this is the best collabo vans has had since 2007. The 3-sets of a purple, silver, and navy blue pair are worth having, lucky me i have all 3. You can see it has Long Beach on the bottom back panel and the tongue's logo design is crazy! Good things come in a batch!
